How referrals work

One friend who gets going is one week of the plan above yours.

Kith has two paid plans, Pro and Ultra, and a way to try the one above yours without paying for it: bring in a friend. Every friend who joins on your link and starts using Kith earns you a week one step up. Nothing is sold and nothing is charged; for that week Kith simply stops applying your plan’s limits.

Your link

It is at the top of your profile in the app, as Share your link and Your QR code. A community you run has a link and a QR code of its own, and anyone who comes in through those counts for you too.

Kith will also mention it once, in conversation, and hand you a link to pass on. If you already know, say so and it will not bring it up again.

What counts

1. They join on your link. Someone who signs up through it is yours. So is someone who installed Kith first and follows your link within their first week, as long as nobody else brought them in. After that first week a link is just an invitation to connect.
2. They get going. Inside their first thirty days they need to have talked to Kith on at least three different days, and sent at least ten messages in all. A friend who installs it, says hello and never comes back does not count, and the thirty days are theirs, from the day they joined.
3. You get the week. Kith checks every hour, and each friend who has cleared the bar earns you one week. On Free that is a week of Pro; on Pro, a week of Ultra. If you are on Ultra there is nothing above it, so the week is banked and pays out if you ever step down.

Twelve weeks at a time

Weeks stack, up to twelve held at once. A referral that arrives while you are already holding twelve is not lost; it waits, and settles as soon as there is room. Twelve weeks is the most you can ever hold at one moment, which is what keeps one busy afternoon of sharing from turning into years of Ultra.

A paid subscription carries on underneath exactly as before. Pro through the App Store or Google Play stays Pro on the bill; the week of Ultra is on us, on top.

Where to see it

Settings has a Referrals row: how many friends came in on your link and how many got going, written as activated / invited. Tap it for the list: when each joined, whether they are active yet or how many days they have left, and for every one that paid out, which week of which plan they earned you.
